Transylvanian Spring Feast – Pascha

Pascha is one of the most important holiday in all religions, being part of the spring celebration of the Resurrection. Saxon, Romanian and Hungarian cultures in Transylvania have their own flavor of this holiday, but they all come together when speaking of food.

We invite you to celebrate this holiday with us and all that comes with it, including an authentic culinary workshop. We have created a special package for you to experience the holiday, the rebirth of nature with sunny days and blooming trees and a great traditional culinary workshop.

11:00 Painting Pascha Eggs in traditional techniques-for kids and not only

Cooking class – preparing the local Pascha cake folowed by lunch

17:00 Visit the village and its fortified church

The local church will be celebrating Crist’s Ressurection and everybody is welcome to participate

19:00 Dinner

Traditional Pascha snack after Ortodox service

Sunday

9:30-12:30  Festive Brunch

Hunting of the eggs and surprises that the Rabitt left around the house and in the garden.

Visit to Viscri – Unesco World Heritage site and Horse cart ride available (optional)

During your free time you may choose from many activities available in the region, like mountain biking on one of the trails around the village, visiting Sighisoara Old Citadel, visit to the sheepfold or blacksmith etc….
